Cardboard Volcanoes
Cardboard volcanoes are the easiest to make. For making this kind of volcano you need the following list of articles or supplies:
• Empty bottle
• Acrylic paints or spray
• Sealant
• Baking soda
• Liquid dish soap
• White vinegar
• Brushes
• Paper mache
• Cardboard
• Newspaper
• Red food color
Read the steps below to make a cardboard volcano:
• Make the base using a cardboard sheet.
• Use salt dough, paper mache or plaster to make a volcano.
• Place the paper mache around a 2 liter bottle.
• Position the bottle at the center of the cardboard base.
• Remove the lid of the bottle.
• Use a sharp instrument to make ridges on the walls of the volcano. These ridges will promote the flow of lava.
• Let the volcano dry.
• After it gets dried, paint with spray paints or acrylics.
• Spray with a clear sealant.
• Mix 1 tbsp. baking soda, 1 tbsp. liquid detergent and few drops of red food color.
• Pour the mixture into the open bottle.
• Add few drops of vinegar into the mixture.
• The mixture of vinegar and baking soda will bubble in the form of lava.
• You are now done with the excellent craft of making an erupting volcano.
